This is only a general outlook guide for the twelve earthly branches of the Chinese almanac for July 2004 (Yin Metal Sheep month). In this, I have attempted to point out the factors that may affect you beneficially this month and also those of which you should beware according to your animal sign. The effect on individuals should be considered within the context of the monthly Flying Stars.

Please do not think that because, for example, you are a Tiger and you read below that July 2004 will not be good you will therefore have a bad month. No. A positive attitude and hard work combined with knowledge of what the month ahead has in store for you will enable you to avoid many problems and disappointments. If you follow our annual 2004 Flying Star (Xuan Kong) recommendations you will avoid bad luck even more because negative Flying Star avoidance alters your destiny in a positive way.

Rat

This is not exactly a splendid month for the Rat in terms of their relationships with others. The prospects in wealth and career terms are good but the Rat may experience hiccups in relationships with peers and subordinates alike, causing unnecessary bad feelings and stress. Rat needs to harness patience and exercise their natural instinct and cleverness to overcome the month's black cloud.

Ideal colours for the month are black and pink.

Ox

Ox must be mentally prepared to adapt him or herself to any setbacks and delays in their endeavours during the month. Events may progress slowly so do not get too disappointed if not much is accomplished according to plan. Being naturally hardworking Ox must not become bitter and frustrated as this can itself decrease the chances of success. This may be a good month for Ox to travel.

Tiger

This is a time for reflection and preparation. Spend this month reviewing your plans and ideas on both the work and personal front as this will better prepare you to consider other possible changes in plans when the need arises. Enjoy the reflective ambience that the month will bring and give yourself some time off to look into other areas of self-improvement, for example exercise, plan ahead and, most important of all, look after yourself and your health.

Your lucky sector is the East-Northeast (52.5º - 67.5º) of the home provided it does not house unfavourable time energies. The location of west-southwest (232.5º - 247.5º) is in conflict with your earthly branch and therefore, if there is a choice, avoid using this sector as your important room, e.g. bedroom or study/home office. Hare/Rabbit

Expect a good month ahead, results can be reaped from all the hard work you have been putting in. Events will flow smoothly with plenty of good news. There are possible promotions at work for some Rabbits and possible joint ventures for those in business. Don't miss out on this month's auspicious influence and value the opportunities and options that appear in your path in both business and at work.

Busy as you may be, do not neglect family life especially Rabbits with young family.

Your lucky sector is the East (82.5º - 97.5º) of the home provided it does not house unfavourable time energies. Dragon      

Dragon can expect moderate success at work but beware of unscrupulous people in business. Affairs will run smoothly even though there may be some hiccups on the way.

Snake

Although this will not be an auspicious month for Snake, there are no rough rides in store. Not a month for changes, so do not pursue your goals too aggressively as the time is not ripe.

Horse

Horse can expect a fulfilling month especially for those who have their thoughts worked out from last month's influence. There are opportunities to complete endeavours begun in the previous month. Advancement and progress are foreseen so be open to business ideas or career opportunities. Enjoy the month but also take a second to remember to rest and look after your health. The month ahead may be a busy one.

Goat/Ram/Sheep

Health may be an issue this month for the Sheep. There is the possibility of food poisoning or contracting viruses. Take extra care in hygiene in food preparation. Those with a bedroom, study or office to the north palace of the house or office must take extra precaution during the month. Sheep has to be aware of feeling too self-centred and neglect others' feelings, especially those of loved ones, which may cause misunderstandings and problems in relationships. Avoid being lured into any form of investment or gambling habits.

Monkey     

Although a moderately successful month, accomplishments may be delayed due to the actions of others. Be sensitive to the office environment and stay away from office politics and avoid involvement in others' difficulties.

Rooster    

A time to be realistic and conservative and not too reliant on others for results. A month of average finance but do be careful not to overspend. Exercise your natural ability to plan ahead and do not make judgements too hastily. Rooster may experience difficulties in relationships but if you are honest with your feelings and are willing to communicate, you may overcome this awkward month.

Dog              

A time for to stay balanced and avoid extremes of temperament. Expect a hectic month. As a result, dog may find himself overworked with little gain and may become fretful especially concerning finances. A show of attention has to be paid to relationships both at work and in business for example to peers, subordinates, bosses and especially to clients. Try and stay cheerful and optimistic. Things will work out fine.
