This is only a general perspective guide for the twelve earthly branches of the Chinese almanac for February 2005 (Yang Earth Tiger month). In this, Sallie has attempted to point out the factors that may affect you beneficially this month and also those of which you should beware according to your animal sign. The effect on individuals should be considered within the context of the monthly Flying Stars which you can find by clicking this link Please do not think that because, for example, you are a Rabbit and you read below that February 2005 will not be good you will therefore have a bad month. No. A positive attitude and hard work combined with knowledge of what the month ahead has in store for you will enable you to avoid many problems and disappointments. If you follow our annual 2005 Flying Star (Xuan Kong) recommendations you will avoid bad luck even more because negative Flying Star avoidance alters your destiny in a positive way.
Rat
You should stay focussed and avoid any direct confrontations especially if your room or office is in the south sector of the house. In this case, you should place a red item in the south for the month of February. For your protection, you should have a key chain pendant of an Ox with you at all times. You can also place a little statue of an Ox on your work desk for support. Your lucky sector is the North (352.5º - 7.5º) of the home or office. For this month, if this north room is one of your frequently used rooms, you should place some small blue decorative ornaments or blue furnishing such as blue cushions or use water motifs beddings or cushion covers. A few items are enough. Please do not overdo it. Beneficial colours for the Rat in the year 2005 are orange, yellow and green. Avoid grey, blue and white colours if you can.
Ox
For your protection, you should have a key chain pendant of a Rat with you at all times. Although your lucky sector is the North-Northeast (22.5º - 37.5º) of the home or office, the northeast sector, this month, is visited by the monthly sickness star #2. You would be well advice to avoid using the northeast room or corner of the room during the month. If avoidance is impossible, place some metal cure for instance a golden Wu-Lou or six Chinese coins in these two corners. Beneficial colours for the Ox in the year 2005 are orange and yellow. Avoid red, grey and black colours.
Tiger
For your protection, you should have a key chain pendant of a Pig with you at all times. Although your lucky sector is the East-Northeast (52.5º - 67.5º) of the home or office, unfortunately, the northeast sector, this month, is visited by the monthly sickness star #2. You would be well advice to avoid using the northeast or southwest room or corner of the room. If avoidance is impossible, place some metal cure for instance a golden Wu-Lou or six Chinese coins in these two corners. Beneficial colours for the Tiger in the year 2005 are green, blue, grey and black. Avoid orange, yellow and red colours if you can during the year.
Hare/Rabbit
You are in affinity with the Dog. Keep a pendant or a key chain pendant of a Dog and / or a Tiger Eye power bead bracelet with you for protection. In addition, you can also place a little figurine of a dragon on your work desk for further support. Your lucky sector is the East (82.5º - 97.5º) of the home. Unfortunately in 2005, this location is afflicted by the Three Killings and this sector is also in confrontation with Tai Sui (Grand Duke of Jupiter). This is also where the annual #2 Black resides during the year making this a rather inauspicious location overall. If this is your study or bedroom, and there are no other rooms available, try your utmost not to occupy the east or west sector of the room. Make use of the north or south sectors of the room instead. In addition, hang a wooden Wu-Lou, in the east corner of the room or your bed. If the east is your office or study, place some round items e.g. clear crystal ball (not rose quartz), small metal items or a blue round paperweight on the desk. Beneficial colours for the Rabbit in the year 2005 are white, yellow and orange. Avoid blue, black and green colours if you can during the year.
Dragon
For protection, you should have a key chain pendant of a Rooster with you at all times. . A Turquoise power bead bracelet is also good as support for Dragon this year. Your lucky sector is the East-Southeast (112.5º - 127.5º) of the home or office. Place a cluster of clear crystals or gem stones in the southeast sector of your room. Beneficial colours for the Dragon in the year 2005 are green, blue grey and black. Avoid white, red and orange colours if you can during the year.
Snake
You should keep a symbol of the monkey (or a monkey key ring) with you at all times for protection. Your lucky sector is the South-Southeast (142.5º - 157.5º). To enhance this corner of the room, place a table or standing lamp in this southeast sector of your room. An object or image of a sun will do nicely too. Beneficial colours for the snake in the year 2005 are blue, grey and yellow. Avoid white and green colours if you can during the year.
Horse
For protection you should have a key chain pendant of a Goat/Ram/Sheep with you at all times. Your lucky sector is the South (172.5º - 187.5º) of the home or office. This is considered the most auspicious sector in 2005. Try to use this room if you can for the qi of the south in 2005 may give you favourable influences. Introduce some red, maroon and yellow to the décor of this room. Beneficial colours for the Horse in the year 2005 are red, purple, orange and white. Avoid green, grey and black colours if you can during the year.
Goat/Ram/Sheep
For protection you should have a key chain pendant of a Horse with you at all times. You can also place a little figurine of a Dragon on your work desk for additional support. Your lucky sector is the South-Southwest (202.5º - 217.5º) of the home or office. To enhance the year's energy, place some golden ornament in the southwest corner of your room. However, the southwest sector, this month, is visited by the monthly obstacle star #5 Yellow. You would be well advised to avoid using the southwest or northeast room or corner of the room during the month. If avoidance is impossible, place some metal cure for instance a golden Wu-Lou or six Chinese coins in these two corners. Beneficial colours for the Sheep/Ram in the year 2005 are yellow, blue and grey. Avoid white and green colours if you can during the year.
Monkey
For protection you should have a key chain pendant of a Snake with you at all times. Your lucky sector is the West-Southwest (232.5º - 247.5º) of the home or office. To enhance the year's energy, place some golden ornament in the southwest corner of your room. However, the southwest sector, this month, is visited by the monthly obstacle star #5 Yellow. You would be well advised to avoid using the southwest or northeast room or corner of the room during the month. If avoidance is impossible, place some metal cure for instance a golden Wu-Lou or six Chinese coins in these two corners. Beneficial colours for the Monkey in the year 2005 are yellow, red and orange. Avoid white, blue and grey colours if you can during the year.
Rooster
Keep a symbol of the dragon (or a dragon key ring) with you at all times for protection. You can also place a little figurine of a Dragon on your work desk for additional support. Your lucky sector is the West (262.5º - 277.5º) of the home or office. However, in 2005, this is the location of Tai Sui (Grand Duke of Jupiter, one of the annual afflictions). Although less harmful than directly facing Tai Sui, it is traditionally not advisable to occupy the same west location. If you cannot avoid this west location, place a dragon headed Tortoise in the east corner of your room facing west to appease Tai Sui. Beneficial colours for the Rooster in the year 2005 are red, purple, beige and yellow. Avoid blue, black and green.
Dog
For protection you should have a key chain pendant of a Rabbit on you at all times. You can also place a little figurine of a Dragon on your work desk for additional support. Your lucky sector is the West-Northwest (292.5º - 307.5º) of the home or office. However, in 2005, this is the location of the annual 5 Yellow and if your room is also located here, you may encounter obstacles in your endeavours and weak health. If you are unable to move out of this location, make sure you are not occupying the northwest corner of the room as well. If this is your study or a bedroom, place some metal ornaments (e.g. a golden Wu-Lou or six Chinese Coins) in the northwest corner of the room. Beneficial colours for the Dog in the year 2005 are red, purple, orange and green. Avoid wearing too many white, grey and black colours.
Boar /Pig
For protection you should have a key chain pendant of a Tiger on you at all times. You can also place a little figurine of a Tiger on your work desk for additional support. Your lucky sector is the North-Northwest (322.5º - 337.5º) of the home or office. However, in 2005, this is the location of the annual 5 Yellow and if your room is also located here, you may encounter obstacles in your endeavours and weak health. If you are unable to move out of this location, make sure you are not occupying the northwest corner of the room as well. If this is your study or a bedroom, place some metal ornaments (e.g. a golden Wu-Lou or six Chinese Coins) in the northwest corner of the room. Beneficial colours for the Pig/Boar in the year 2005 are blue, grey, black and green. Avoid red, yellow and orange colours.

Rat
will do well this month but you may find yourself running in circles in
whatever you do. This could be due to unscrupulous people working behind
your back putting obstacles in your way and making it difficult for you
accomplish your tasks as smoothly as you would like. Do not allow any
small problems to cause you to panic or become stressed. 
This
is a busy month for Ox and, as long as you are organised and co-operate
well with others, all will go well. However, this is not a good month
to tempt fate by celebrating success too early so do wait for the chickens
to hatch before counting them.
Despite having a full work load, the results will make the effort worthwhile.
This is the perfect month to make your plans for the year and specifically
plan the goals you want to attain. Place safety first at home and when
you are out and about. It is important to avoid confrontation with others.
During
the month, work will progress steadily if affairs are handled with a calm
and thoughtful mind. No matter how busy you are, do not neglect your health.
Health problems may manifest themselves due to lack of exercise or poor
and irregular diet.
Although
your social life may be busy this month with much celebration and fun,
there is an equal amount of worry and also some stressful moments. You
will be able you to enjoy the good influences and your perseverance will
enable you to overcome the difficulties. 
Snake's wealth and career prospects are good this month but you may find
that, due to circumstances entirely beyond your control, conflicts are
created into which you become drawn. Snake should also keep an eye on
how money is spent both at work and at home.
An
adventurous month lies ahead with possibilities for travel. However, you
may find that your outgoings exceed your income. Particularly given your
love for the finer things in life, you will have to keep a watch on your
expenses. You should take the necessary precautions as overspending may
bring debts. Horse should also keep safety in mind whether at home or
when out and about during the month.
It
is a good time to invest but research and understand that investment well
before plunging in. There is a possibility that energy and money may be
spent without accomplishing anything. This may cause you frustration and
stress.
Monkey
will not be bored this month for challenges lie in wait. Credits and rewards
will be due to you but the spotlight this month will be on others. Despite
this minor frustration, you must accept that what gets the job done is
team work with harmonious co-operation from all involved. Above all, avoid
any form of confrontation with others. 
This is an odd month for Rooster as there are harmonious elements whereas
others are rather disagreeable. You must keep a close control of events
as in this way things will turn out well.
Take advantage of this month's influence and find the inspiration to plan
your goals for the year. A word of caution: do not over-extend yourself
this month and do not neglect your health. Be careful when you are out
and about for there may be minor accidents. If you find things tough,
find support in family and friends. This is not a good month for investment.
